Months ago, College of Nursing faculty members requested to meet with President Stoicheff. Last week, rather than receive a petition signed by faculty members from across the university demanding he meet with Nursing faculty members, the President held meetings with Nursing faculty members.

While we recognize the efforts that have been made by President Stoicheff in meeting with the College of Nursing faculty members to hear the issues, we also recognize the frustrations experienced by our members over the past years as these concerns have grown and remained unaddressed.

The President has heard directly from College of Nursing faculty members, and they have asked him to act. Whether anything happens to address the concerns of faculty members remains to be seen. However, the USFA Executive has requested an emergency meeting with the President, the Vice-President Finance, and the Provost, to work toward tangible solutions that can be clearly stated and achieved.
