The USFA has heard from many members that Sun Life is denying benefit claims filed after March 31 but before April 30.

As you have been advised, the time for submitting a claim was extended to the end of April by agreement between the University of Saskatchewan and Sun Life.

Faculty who have received denial letters from Sun Life should forward this information to ConnectionPoint connectionpoint@usask.ca with a copy to the USFA at usfa@usaskfaculty.ca   

The Association will be raising the failure of Sun Life to process benefit claims with the University.
