Executive Committee Elections

The USFA Constitution mandates an annual election of one-half of the members of the Executive Committee. By now you should have received the 2012 election package. Any regular member of the Association is eligible to run for a position and the term of office is two years.

While, it has long been recognized that serving as an Executive Committee member involves a significant amount of work, there has always been a provision in the USFA Collective Agreement that helps Executive members, and other USFA members, take on the work of the Association through a release from regular assigned duties.

We want to encourage members to consider running for a position on the USFA Executive Committee and while we emphasize that it is a big commitment, the USFA is able to provide support for members who are elected or who take on work on behalf of the USFA. Executive members are expected to actively participate by attending Executive Committee meetings, chairing and or serving on Association committees, or being assigned to participate on University committees.

Deadline for nominations is 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012.
