A day after it was accepted by the U of S Board of Governors, USFA members voted to accept the tentative agreement to extend the current Collective Agreement for one year to June 30, 2014 at a Special General Membership meeting held March 6.

This extension provides for a 1% increase to salaries and a modification to the salary ceiling for all ranks. It also commits the parties to returning to the table immediately to negotiate a new contract.

The parties are scheduled to be back at the bargaining table at the end of the month.
