The USFA negotiating committee began bargaining the new collective agreement with the employer on May 26th. Member perspectives gathered over the past two years under the themes of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access will inform issues being brought by the committee to the table, in addition to other work-related issues brought forward by faculty while preparations were underway. After a break over July, committee members will get together in August to prepare for continued negotiations with the employer in the fall.
Negotiating committee faculty members are Chief Negotiator Allison Muri (English, Arts & Science), Anas El-Aneed (Pharmacy & Nutrition), Courtney Charles (Pharmacy & Nutrition), Doug Chivers (Biology, Arts & Science), Heather Foulds (Kinesiology), and Darrell Mousseau (Psychiatry, Medicine); and USFA staff Johanne Brassard and Abbie Kappel. The Indigenous Advisory Caucus members are Winona Wheeler (Indigenous Studies, Arts & Science), Holly Graham (Psychiatry, Medicine), Heather Foulds (Kinesiology), and Alex Wilson (Educational Foundations, Education).
