USFA Office remains closed, USFA Election Committee, Federal Election

USFA Office remains closed

As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our office on campus remains closed until further notice. Association staff continue to work remotely and may be contacted by phone or email. Phone calls to the USFA office will be forwarded and our staff will continue to answer emails as usual.

USFA Election Committee

The USFA is seeking members interested in being elected to the Elections Committee.

This Committee is responsible for directing Executive Committee elections. It consists of five regular members of the Association elected annually by the membership. Current Executive Committee members and anyone seeking election to the Executive are ineligible to serve on the Elections Committee.

If you would like to put your name forward as a candidate for this Committee, you may do so in a reply to this email. Candidates will be announced and elected at the Fall General Meeting, 2:00 p.m. October 20, via Zoom.

Federal Election – Issues impacting workers and For Our Future

The USFA is affiliated to the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour (SFL), the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT). All these organizations are a useful source of information on election issues that affect workers and, in the case of CAUT, the post-secondary sector.

If you haven’t voted yet, visit their websites to learn more.

Before casting a ballot consider the platforms political parties have put forward. Which party will step up for what’s important to Canadian Universities and post-secondary education?

Send a message to candidates in your riding and to all party leaders that they need to act For Our Future.
